How I Define and Measure Success

I define success by the milestones we can reach while progressing towards achieving our goals. One of the main points of Precision Nutrition is to focus on the process and not the outcome because no matter what, there will always be an outcome. However, the process is what will determine that outcome. If I can develop a self-sufficient culture, centered in self-growth, support, and ownership, then I have succeeded. These pillars are measured through the athletes' individual growth during the year, actions towards their teammates, and how they treat the equipment and our weight room. I will always cue my athletes on how they can move better or if they did something well, but I am not competing with them. They need to find it within themselves and their team to be the support system and compass throughout the process.
